Welcome to the Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District birth and death certificate online ordering system. Online requests will be processed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

This is an official request from the Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District. Birth and Death Certificates are legal documents and will be treated as such.  The information contained in this request is considered private. Please be sure to complete all fields within the order and upload the required information.

You will be notified by email when your order has been approved.  At that time, your order is ready for pick-up, or your document will be mailed within one business day.

The payment will be paid through Permitium Payments.  The charge will show on your credit card statement as 'PermVitalRecs'. This is a secure and trusted provider of payment services.

Please note the following:

• Birth records for Abilene, Texas are available back to 1906.  Abstracts are available for those born in Texas only.
  
  
• Death Records are available only for those who died within the city limits of Abilene

Processing of Birth and Death Certificate Applications:

- You will receive an email notification when your application has successfully been submitted into the online ordering system.

- You will receive a second email notification and a phone call when our office has notified you of needed documents or questions regarding your order.

- Once your application has been Approved, a confirmation email will be sent to notify you that your document is ready for pick-up, or will be mailed the following business day.

- If your application has been Denied, you will be notified by email. 

* Warning: The penalty for knowingly making a false statement in this form can be 2-10 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000 (Health and Safety Code 195.003)
